Lola Spangler

[June 03, 2008]  Lola Belle Spangler, 89, of Lincoln, died Monday, June 2, 2008, at 11:35 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor.

Her body will be cremated. There will be no services.

Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Spangler was a retired restaurant cook.

She was born Oct. 21, 1918, in Jefferson County to James and Edith Marcum Beck. She married Dallas Victor Spangler on Sept. 29, 1937, in Evansville, Ind. He preceded her in death Jan. 10, 1997.

She is survived by two sons, Terry (and Melinda) Spangler of Lincoln and Craig (and Sue) Spangler of Lafayette, Ore.; three daughters, Joyce (and Charlie) Probus of Lockport, Carolyn Carpenter of Christopher and Brenda (and Rick) Meis of Windsor, Colo.; one brother, Gene (and Marie) Beck of Lemont; two sisters, Eva Dial of Bluford and Dorothy Heeg of Lincoln; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Dallas Dwain Spangler; one brother, Robert Beck; one sister, Mildred Edgemon; and one grandson, Charlie Probus.

Funeral Director

She was a member of Donohue Prairie Church of Kell.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
