The victory on a blustery night at U.S. Cellular Field was the White Sox's fourth straight since a tirade from manager Ozzie Guillen last Sunday about the team's struggling offense. Chicago had 16 hits and increased its lead in the AL Central to 3 1/2 games over the second-place Twins.
Quentin, the White Sox's surprise star this season, hit his 16th homer to cap a six-run fifth inning.
Crede, who had to leave Wednesday night's game and sit out Thursday's with a bruised right wrist, hit solo shots in the third and sixth and had two singles. Jermaine Dye had Chicago's fourth homer of the night.
Javier Vazquez (6-4) wasn't sharp but got the victory. He allowed four runs and nine hits, including homers to Carlos Gomez and Cuddyer, in 5 1-3 innings. Alexi Casilla hit Minnesota's third homer, a two-run shot off Esteban Loaiza in the ninth, and the Twins finished with 13 hits.
The Twins had a 3-0 lead early but Nick Blackburn (4-4) couldn't hold it.
Chicago drove the rookie right-hander out with five straight hits to start the fifth inning. Nick Swisher and Crede singled, Alexei Ramirez beat out a bunt to load the bases, Orlando Cabrera had an RBI single and A.J. Pierzynski followed with a two-run double to make it 5-3.
Juan Rincon relieved and Quentin hit a high drive to right that went off the top of a leaping Cuddyer's glove and into the bullpen for an 8-3 lead.
After Cuddyer homered in the sixth, the Twins loaded the bases on two singles and a walk but Octavio Dotel struck out Gomez and got Casilla on an inning-ending grounder.
The Twins had four straight hits with two outs in the third to take the 3-0 lead. Gomez homered to left, Casilla singled and Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau delivered consecutive RBI doubles.
