Jim Fyke, president of the historical society and chairman of the
Eureka Sesquicentennial history subcommittee, said the group is
currently seeking pictures, clippings and family stories to be
considered for publication in the sesquicentennial history book now
being organized. The committee is having the "scanner days" to
digitally preserve photos and documents furnished by Eureka area
citizens and their families. The originals will be returned to the
owners, unless donated to the society. All such scanned items will
be preserved in the historical society files for reference and for
future viewing by the public, whether published or not.
For more information, call Jim or Karen Fyke at 467-4525 or
e-mail them at jlfyke@mtco.com
or kdfyke@mchsi.com.
