Robert Houghtalin

[November 03, 2008]  Robert L. Houghtalin, 70, of Lincoln, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at 12:07 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

His funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. John Huy Pham officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Houghtalin retired from International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 640 in Lubbock, Texas.

He was born June 30, 1938, in Ann Arbor, Mich., to Robert L. and Vivian Ballingall Houghtalin. He married Juanita A. Pritchard on June 18, 1962.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years; one son, Steven Thomas Houghtalin; one brother, Mark Houghtalin of Longmont, Colo.; five sisters, Susan Randolph of Michigan, Mary Jean Wahl of Edgewater, Fla., Stacey Milazzo of Austin, Texas, Michelle Lucas of Tallahassee, Fla., and Paige Dyer of Orlando, Fla.; three granddaughters, Nicole Marie Vincent and Kristine Ann Ginger of Lincoln and Ashley Linn Vincent of Belleville; one grandson, Shaun Houghtalin of Lincoln; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Debra A. Vincent, and his parents.
