Madi swam seven events during the meet and achieved time drops in
all seven events. Ian dropped time in four events and did an
outstanding job in dropping nearly 9 seconds in the 100 IM. Lizzi
swam the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:44.92, dropping almost 10
seconds off her entry time. Sam swam a 24.35 in the 50 freestyle.
Brennan dropped nearly 17 seconds in the 500 freestyle, and he swam
a 51.53 in the 100 freestyle, which earned him ninth place overall.
Emily participated in the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:33.32.
Alyssa achieved her goal of under 7 minutes in the 500-yard
freestyle. She wanted to achieve this goal for her dad, who is
currently serving in Afghanistan.
"I've been a part of this coaching staff for a year and a half,
and this was the best our team has done at a meet," said coach
Cassie Hewitt. "I just couldn't believe that everyone was dropping
so much time in their events."
