Albert V. Kapik, 90, of Lincoln, died
Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009, at 2:25 p.m. at BroMenn Regional Medical
Center, Bloomington.

His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian
Church in Lincoln, with the Rev. Phillip Blackburn officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Pleasant Plains Cemetery at a
later date.
Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Mr. Kapik retired in 1985 from Eaton Corp., where
he was a tool and die maker.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He was born March 22, 1919, in Lincoln to
Valentine and Marie Krotz Kapik. He married Ruth W.
Walbaum on June 17, 1950, in Pleasant Plains.
He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; one
brother, John Kapik of Lincoln; three "adopted"
grandchildren, Tamara Radcliff of Richmond, Va.,
Sara Mabus of Antioch and Jason Dodds of
Bloomington; three nephews, Lee Rohlfs of Anthem,
Ariz., Gary Rohlfs of Lincoln and Steven Provin of
Pekin; and three nieces, Carol Kuhn of Yantis,
Texas, Sharon Lunn of Spring Hill, Kan., and Janice
Kapik of Lincoln. |
Two sisters, Rosemary Provin and Amelia Casstevens,
preceded him in death.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church
of Lincoln.
Memorials may be made to his church or to
Lincoln-Logan Food Pantry.
