Cremation has taken place, and a
reception to celebrate his life was held on
Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Burlington, Ontario,
Holiday Inn.Before retiring in 1998, Mr. Gehlbach
held several managerial positions at Canadian Tire
Corp.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Rosemarie;
his son, John; his beloved dog, Molly; his brothers,
Ron, Gene and David; his sister, Donna; and other
family and friends in the U.S. and Canada.
He was a passionate gardener and an avid koi fish
collector. He enjoyed bonsai, breeding budgies and
was a "chef extraordinaire." He was also an
undaunted do-it-yourself guy who never met a project
he wouldn't tackle, often with astounding results.
Norm had a remarkable presence and maintained his
keen sense of humor until the end.
