Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta is
handling arrangements.
She was born Jan. 7, 1921, in Waynesville to
Jesse and Martha McAllister Gelsthorpe. She married
Harold E. Organ on March 22, 1942, in Louisiana, Mo.
He preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 1995.
Surviving Mrs. Organ are her daughter, Sharon
(and Bob) Finfrock of Waynesville; one brother, Jim
(and Marsha) Gelsthorpe of Waynesville; three
sisters, Mary Gelsthorpe of Lincoln, Betty Cisco of
Waynesville and Virginia (and Jim) French of
Lincoln; five grandchildren, Ronald (and Angela)
West, David (and Kim) West, Brian West, Lisa (and
Quinten) Quiram and Stacy (and Darren) Peifer, all
of Waynesville; eight great-grandchildren; and four
great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother,
Leland "Bud" Gelsthorpe, and two sisters, Evelyn
Burger and Dorothy Rich.
She was a member of Waynesville Christian Church
She graduated from Waynesville High School in
1942.
Memorials may be made to the Waynesville Fire and
Rescue Department or a charity of the donor's
choice.
