Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[August 22, 2009]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery gained 3 cents to $4.965 a bushel, while December corn fell 3.5 cents to $3.24 a bushel and November soybeans lost 1 cent to $9.57 a bushel. Oats for December delivery slipped 0.5 cent to $2.165 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures were mostly higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle inched up 0.15 cent to 88.82 cents a pound; October feeder cattle was unchanged at $1.012 a pound; October lean hogs rose 1.17 cents to 46.92 cents a pound; and February pork bellies were flat at 79.1 cents a pound.
