Margaret E. Sams, 92, of Lincoln, died
Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at 12:15 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor. |
Her graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday
at Zion Cemetery in Lincoln, with the Rev. Richard
Reinwald officiating. No visitation is scheduled.
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln
is in charge of arrangements.
She had worked at the Lincoln and Petersburg
libraries and retired after 17 years as a librarian.
She was born April 7, 1917, in Tallulah, La., to
George and Melissa Watkins Sanders.
She is survived by one sister, Alice Row of
Lincoln; a nephew, Jon (and Sheri) Row of Huntington
Beach, Calif.; and a great-niece, Debbie (and Tom)
Nisbett of Houlton, Maine.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha
Blackwell and Georgiabelle Wilmert, and one nephew,
Dr. William Blackwell.
She attended church services at Friendship Manor. |
She was a member of the Pierre Menard Chapter of the
Daughters of the American Revolution.
She loved to play bridge, collect antiques, and
she was an avid reader.
Memorials may be made to Friendship Manor, St.
Clara's Manor or a charity of the donor's choice.
