Laramie Ruder

[December 09, 2009]  Laramie A. Ruder, 79, of Indianapolis, Ind., formerly of Lincoln, died Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at 5:15 p.m. at Regency Place of Castleton in Indianapolis.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Jefferson Street Christian Church. Lincoln Rebekahs 204 will have a memorial service at 5 p.m. at the church.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with Dustin Fulton officiating.

Burial will be in New Union Cemetery.

Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ruder retired from Lincoln Odd Fellows Day Care Center, IGA and the Lincoln Courier.

Laramie Allure Ruder was born Jan. 1, 1930, in Gillespie, a daughter of Charles and Gertrude Aldridge Keen. She married Emil Ernest Ruder on June 4, 1950, in Gillespie. He preceded her in death on March 9, 2005, in Lincoln.

She is survived by her children, Elizabeth J. (and William) Crow of Lincoln, Donald Wayne Ruder of Lovelock, Nev., and Lynette Ann (and Eric) Ash of Winchester, Calif.; a daughter-in-law, Linda Ruder of Indianapolis, Ind.; eight grandchildren, Jennifer (and Jeremy) Day of Ben Lomond, Ark., Christopher (and Erica) Ruder of Ingles, Ind., Jonathon Kahlin Ash, Joshua Ash and Chelsey Ash of California, Jason (and Aimee) Crow of Lincoln, Christina Crow of Lincoln, and Ashlee Ruder of Nevada; and five great-grandchildren, Maleah, Kelsey and Kole Ruder, and Gabbie and Grace Crow.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Robert E. Ruder, and eight siblings.

She was a member of Jefferson Street Christian Church and the 50-plus group at the church, Lincoln Rebekahs 204, Logan County Genealogy Society, Logan County Farm Bureau, and a 60-year member of New Holland Richmond Grove card club.

She graduated from Gillespie High School and attended Lincoln Christian College.

Memorials may be made to Jefferson Street Christian Church.
