M. Irene Steffens, 89, of Lincoln, died
Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at 3:40 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in
Springfield.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the
Rev. Dayle Badman officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to
11 a.m. Burial will be at a later date.
She was retired
from factory work in Batavia.
She was born June 27, 1920, at Latham to Joshua
Wakefield and Minnie Della McClemmons Sheridan.
She is survived by one son, Lloyd M. Chezem of
Lincoln; two daughters, Sherry Taylor of Lincoln and
Claudia L. Lebeau of Gold Canyon, Ariz.; 10
grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two
great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Robert
Chezem; three brothers and four sisters. She was the
last of her immediate family. |
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's
Hospital.
