Agriculture futures trade lower on the CBOT

[February 03, 2009]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures traded lower Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery fell 4.25 cents to $5.6375 a bushel; March corn slid 8.5 cents to $3.705 a bushel; March oats lost 12.5 cents to $1.925 a bushel; and March soybeans dropped 20.5 cents to $9.595 a bushel.

Beef futures were higher and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle gained 1.72 cents to 86.82 cents a pound; March feeder cattle advanced 3 cents to 94 cents a pound; February lean hogs lost 0.6 cent to 57.95 cents a pound; and February pork bellies fell 1.35 cents to 81.6 cents a pound.
