[February 12, 2009]  EAST PEORIA -- The Lincoln College Lynx lost to Illinois Central Community College 73-63 on Tuesday. Coach Kirk Whiteman explained that the game was lost in the last 10 minutes:

"We held a halftime lead 38-27, and we were able to maintain that lead starting the second half after a run by ICC and Jimmy Kuban, who ended with 23 points, 19 in the second half.

"Bottom line is we got outscored 25-6 the last 10 minutes of the game. We probably had over 10 turnovers in the last 10 minutes -- this was due to the full-court pressure by ICC for the whole game.

"If we are going to be successful, we have to get our post players more touches."

The loss moved the Lynx to 9-1 in the conference and 17-7 overall.
