 To the editor:As I continue my work in New
York, I am constantly reminded of the kindness and generosity of
those I enjoyed during my recent visit to Lincoln, Springfield and
Jacksonville, Ill. Thank you to all who allowed me the opportunity
to be part of the Lincoln Bicentennial events. I hope my "Portrait
of President Lincoln," housed at Lincoln
College in Lincoln, can be enjoyed by many and is a legacy for
future generations to enjoy.
