[January 02, 2009]  James Dale Weakley, 71, of Lincoln, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, at 1:27 p.m. at his home.

There is no visitation. Private family services will be at a later date.

Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Mr. Weakley was a retired grain elevator operator.

He was born March 10, 1937, in Morgan County to James William and Mildred Bryant Weakley.

He is survived by two sons, James Weakley of Loami and Jeffrey Weakley of Godfrey; two daughters, Joi (and James) Walker of Channahon and Janet Weakley of Elwood; one brother, William Weakley of Lincoln; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his faithful canine companions, L.C. and B.C.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Patricia Crane; and his second wife, Janice Letting.

Funeral Director

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Logan County.
