He was born March 15, 1960, at Andrews Air Force Base
in Maryland to Thomas A. Sr. and Theresa Kasulke
Schmidt.
Sadly missing him are his father, of Hartsburg; two
brothers, Tony (and wife Betty) Schmidt of Peoria and Tim Schmidt of
Hartsburg; two sisters, Teresa "Dollie" (and husband
Scott) Heidbreder of
Middletown and Tina Coers of Hartsburg; his maternal
grandmother, Theresa Kasulke of Maryland; seven
nieces and nephews; and his
loving canine companion, Teddy.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa
Schmidt, and a brother-in-law, Robert "Bub" Coers.
"Wheels" was struck with a disability at a young
age, but that did not stop him from being passionate
about life. He enjoyed working on automobiles,
woodworking, candle making and making wind chimes.
He could fix and figure out anything laid out in
front of him.
Memorial donations may be made to the family or
to Hartsburg Fire and Rescue in his name and will be
accepted at the funeral home.
