[January 13, 2009]  DIXON -- Ronald E. Vaughan, 61, of Dixon, formerly of Latham, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at 5:30 p.m. at Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski, with Bill Shanle officiating. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Two Mile Grove Cemetery, Latham.

Mr. Vaughan was a designer in civil and mechanical engineering.

He was born Jan. 30, 1947, in Decatur to Everett and GeorgetteVanWassenhove Vaughan. He married LuAnna Slaven in Mount Pulaski on Oct. 19, 1985.

He is survived by his wife, of Dixon; his mother, Georgette Vaughan of Latham; and one son, Barry Vaughan of Dixon.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He was a member of the Logan County Farm Bureau.

He graduated from Warrensburg-Latham High School and attended Millikin University in Decatur and Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon.
