Norma J. Johnson, 93, of Lincoln,
formerly of New Holland, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009, at 6:10 p.m.
at The Christian Village.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Ryan Edgecombe
officiating. |

Burial will be in Richmond Grove Cemetery, New
Holland. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker.
She was born Oct. 13, 1915, in Mount Pulaski to
Roscoe and Maude Barlow Shoup. She married John O.
Johnson on Feb. 16, 1935, in Lincoln. He preceded
her in death on Jan. 12, 2003.
She is survived by two sons, Loren (and Frances)
Johnson of Morton and Lyle (and Cherrilyn) Johnson
of Lincoln; one daughter, Joan Poole of Bloomington;
one sister, Erma Shoup of Lincoln; seven
grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son,
Raymond.
She was a member of Lincoln Christian Church and
the Yadnus class of the church. She was also a
member of the Pleasant Valley Community Club and New
Holland Community Bunko Club.
