Abe Lincoln's birthday celebration at Postville Courthouse
WHO: Open to public
DETAILS: The Arts & Craft Guild will have a children's event from 10 am to noon in the historic courtroom. Paul Beaver will be on hand to give two afternoon presentations. Period music will be playing throughout the celebration. An Abraham Lincoln interpreter will be on hand to greet visitors. Postville volunteers will conduct tours and serve cake and punch. Contest winners will be announced. Free to the public, but donations are graciously accepted. Call 217-732-8930 or 217-737-0979 for more information.

Re-enactment of "1854 Cast Iron Tombstone Trial"
SPONSOR: Mount Pulaski A. Lincoln Bicentennial Committee
WHO: Public
DETAILS: Re-enactment of trial in which Abraham Lincoln and Judge David Davis participated. Cast of 11 includes professional Lincoln impersonator Joe Woodard. Jury will be selected from audience. Actual verdict revealed at end of performance. This will be the ninth performance. Reserved seats can be obtained by calling 217-792-5442.

an Illinois historic site, was built in 1847 and served as Logan County seat from 1848 to 1855.
