Lincoln Daily News
welcomes letters of appreciation, information and
opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

Dear Editor: Park Meadows Baptist Church is starting a new
ministry to reach out to the community of Logan County. It is called
the S.O.S club. We will be offering handyman services to the
handicapped, elderly, widows and single women of our community free
of charge. We would also extend these services to families who may
need these services but cannot afford to hire someone.
Our services we will be offering include, but are not limited to:
snow removal, de-icing sidewalks, raking leaves, mowing lawns,
trimming bushes, small paint projects, small repairs, moving
furniture, etc.
The men of our church will be donating their time to provide
these services to those in need.

We will be starting services on Feb. 1. All someone needs to do
is to call us to arrange a time for someone to come. The number to
call is 217-735-1373. Ask for John or Tina to set up the best time
for us to be of service. If there is no answer, please leave a
message.
We are asking if you would do your part by helping us to spread
the word.
Sincerely,
Serving Other Souls,
John and Tina Cotton
Members at Park Meadows Baptist Church
