Cremation rites have been accorded, and burial will be in Roaches Chapel Cemetery, rural McLean.
Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta is handling
arrangements.
Mr. Karrick, 78, of
rural Atlanta, died Sunday, July 19, 2009, at 11:28 p.m., surrounded
by his family at his home.
He retired from PPG
Industries after 38 years with the company.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was born Aug. 18, 1930, in rural Atlanta to
Elvis Clarence and Dora Huber Karrick. He married
Helen Winstead on May 26, 1989.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Jason
Karrick of Dayton, Ohio; one daughter, Stephanie
Laubenstein of Lincoln; one brother, Roger Karrick
of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and five grandchildren,
Tanner and Lane Karrick and Lanae, Chloe and Brynley
Laubenstein.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one
brother, Russell Karrick; and one sister, June Leith.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post
1756.
Memorials may be made to the Atlanta Rescue Squad
or American Cancer Society.
