WILLIAMSVILLE -- Rose Alice
Schnellenberger, 66, of Williamsville, died Friday, June 12, 2009,
in Springfield, Mo.
A Mass of Christian burial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at
St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Elkhart, with the Rev. Thomas Shaw
officiating. |
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday at
Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln and on Tuesday at
the church in Elkhart from 9:30 a.m. until the time
of the service. There will also be a rosary service
at the funeral home at 4:45 p.m. Monday, prior to
the visitation. Burial will be in Elkhart
Cemetery, Elkhart.
Rose Alice Lanman was born April 14, 1943, in
Bristow, Ind., the daughter of Ervin and Bernise Van
Hoosier Lanman. She married Allen W. Schnellenberger
on Oct. 7, 1961.
She is survived by her husband; one son, Allen W.
Jr. (and wife Sandra) Schnellenberger of Fort Wayne,
Ind.; one daughter, Alicia (and husband Gary)
Durchholz of Williamsville; six grandchildren, Adam,
Hannah and Wesley Durchholz, Jessica (and husband
Anthony) Auby and Jack and Peter Schnellenberger;
two sisters, Ruthanna Welp and Patricia Wright; one
brother, James Lanman; and several cousins, nieces
and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one
granddaughter, Maura Durchholz.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in
Elkhart. |
She was a devoted military wife, mother and
grandmother who loved raising children, sewing,
shopping and spending time with her family. She was
an avid reader and loved country music.
She graduated from Huntingburg High School in
Huntingburg, Ind.
Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic
Church.
