Donald Langley

[June 16, 2009]  Donald Ray Langley, 59, of Lincoln, died Sunday, June 14, 2009, at 2:15 in the emergency room at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Friday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Dustin Fulton officiating.

Burial will be in Keys Cemetery, Beason, with Masonic rites conducted by Atlanta Lodge 165.

Mr. Langley was owner and operator of General Mechanical Technology in rural Lincoln.

He was born Feb. 14, 1950, in Lincoln, to Emmett and Helen Burcham Langley. He married Mollie Ann Sprague in Lincoln on May 13, 1989, and she preceded him in death on Oct. 10, 1992. He married Cheryl Simpson in Lincoln on Feb. 15, 2003.

He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; two sons, Patrick Langley of Lincoln and Daniel (and Lori) Langley of Middletown; four stepdaughters, Tiffany (and Richard) Cox of Florida, Amber (and Ryan) Mifflin of Greenville, Mica (and Cody) King of California and Mandy Huseman of West Virginia; one stepson, Aaron (and Malline) Huseman of Maine; two brothers, William (and Tootie) Langley of Mount Zion and Richard (and Judy) Langley of Atlanta; five grandchildren, Megan Wolcott, Zachary Langley, Paige Langley, Jacob Langley and Mollie Kate Mifflin; five stepgrandchildren, Cade Huseman and Hailey, Leah, Anislee and Breelyn King; and one great-grandchild, Jayden Kay Wolcott.

Funeral Director

He was also preceded in death by his parents.

He was a member of ABATE, American Pool Association, Atlanta Masonic Lodge 165, Eagles Lodge 2708 of Lincoln and Lincoln Moose Lodge 1441.

He enjoyed riding his Harley and shooting pool, and he was a "people person."
