McLEAN -- Lucy Lee Boyer, 62, of McLean,
died Sunday, March 1, 2009, at 5:45 a.m. at BroMenn Regional Medical
Center in Normal.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Eminence Christian
Church, rural Atlanta, with Andy Glass officiating.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at
Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta and
9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. |

Burial
will be in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln.
Mrs. Boyer retired from Country Insurance in
2007.
She was born Aug. 14, 1946, in Lincoln, to Taplia
and Marie Renfrow. She married David D. Boyer on
Sept. 10, 1971, in Atlanta.
She is survived by her husband; one son, Charles
Boyer of McLean; one daughter, Elizabeth (and Mark)
Wood of Danvers; three beautiful grandchildren,
Zachary, Brandon and Emmalee Wood; one brother,
Everett Leon (and Margaret) Renfrow of Atlanta; two
sisters, Dorothy Clenin of Lincoln and Marian (and
James) Thompson of Atlanta; and many nieces and
nephews who loved her very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one
son, David Lee Boyer; one sister, Helen Hayes; and
two brothers, James Renfrow and Taplia Renfrow Jr. |
She was a member of Eminence Christian Church.
She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her
and those whose lives she touched.
