Betty Jean Roach, 61, of Theodosia,
Mo., formerly of Decatur, mother of a Lincoln woman, died Thursday,
Feb. 26, 2009. |

Her memorial service will be at Grace Baptist
Church, 3770 N. Water St. in Decatur, on Saturday,
March 7, at 2 p.m. Mrs. Roach was a lifelong
waitress until a heart attack forced her into
retirement in December 1997. She last worked at
Gabby's restaurant in Decatur.
She was born Nov. 6, 1947, in Charleston, S.C.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Roach;
four children, Donna (and Robert) Spiker of Lincoln,
Michael (and Beth) Roach of Decatur, Timothy Roach
of Decatur and Daniel (and Amanda) Roach of Decatur;
six grandchildren, Darren, Christen, Dillon and
Derrick Spiker, Nicholas Roach, and Isabella Jean
Roach; and four stepgrandchildren, Eric Mullins and
Jordan, Courtney and Hope Cuttill.
Jean was loved and will be missed by many.
