[March 07, 2009]LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) -- Public safety officials say five people, including three young boys, were killed in a crash northwest of Lubbock, Texas.
Authorities say a sedan and a sports utility vehicle collided in the middle of an intersection Friday and went off the road into a field.
The five dead include a man and a woman who were passengers in the sedan with the boys.
Department of Public Safety Cpl. John Gonzales say both drivers have been taken to University Medical Center. The extent of their injuries and status of their conditions were not immedately known.
