The Alcohol, Tobacco and Other
Drug Task Force, supported through the
Healthy
Communities Partnership, will provide its Safe Ride program once
again for Lincoln on the evening of March 17, St. Patrick's Day.
|
"The Safe Ride program has been successful, and we will continue to
provide them as long as they are being utilized by even one Lincoln
resident," said Michelle Bauer. "As the DUI laws continue to become
stricter for the purpose of saving lives, we can also do our part to
help."
All residents within the Lincoln city limits may use the local
taxi service to catch a ride home from either a bar, tavern or
restaurant at no cost. The patron must be heading home. The program
will not cover bar-to-bar transfers.
