Leona M. Lohrenz, 90, of Lincoln, died
Monday, March 16, 2009, at 9:15 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital.
A memorial service for Mrs. Lohrenz will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Zion
Lutheran Church in Lincoln, with the Rev. Mark Thompson officiating.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. at the church.
Burial will be in New Union Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. |
Mrs. Lohrenz
was a sales clerk at Taylor's Gift Shop in Lincoln
before she retired.
She was born Aug. 2, 1918, in Lincoln to David
and Hilda Johnson Bentley. She married Stanley K.
Lohrenz on Dec. 12, 1938, in St. Charles, Mo. He
preceded her in death on Sept. 6, 2006.
She is survived by two sons, David (and Sheila)
Lohrenz of Jacksonville and Larry (and Karen)
Lohrenz of Lincoln; one daughter, Linda (and John)
Robinson of Lincoln; eight grandchildren; 14
great-grandchildren; and three
great-great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in
Lincoln, where she taught Sunday school for 27 years
and was a member of the Ladies Aid for 50 years. She
was also a member of the Chester Woman's Club. |
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in
Lincoln or St. Clara's Manor.
