Theresa Kinney

[May 05, 2009]  A memorial service for Theresa Jean Kinney will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria, with Pastor Karl Kraemer officiating. Family will greet friends at 1:30 p.m. at the mausoleum.

Miss Kinney, 50, of Lincoln, died Dec. 23, 2008, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Theresa was born on July 12, 1958, in Peoria to John M. and Ruth King Kinney.

She is survived by her siblings, Sandy Kinney (and husband Dean Roberts) of Salem, Ore., Mary Kinney of Kent, Wash., Susan Schroeder (and husband Will) of Yachats, Ore., John Kinney (and wife Beth) of Elmwood, Pamela Kneer (and husband Dan) of Glasford, Carol Rhoades (and husband Roger) of Washburn, Ellie Martial (and husband Rick) of Coos Bay, Ore., and Meg Kinney of Colorado Springs, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Theresa was of the Catholic faith.

She loved participating in Special Olympics events and won many awards while doing so.

Memorials may be made to the Special Olympics.
