[May 09, 2009]  ABINGTON, Mass. (AP) -- Twin brothers have been arrested for allegedly attacking a convenience store clerk with a hammer and hot coffee during a robbery.

Police say Joseph Kitchens of Marshfield and Stephen Kitchens of Brockton, both 30, are charged with armed robbery and assault and battery. The attack early Sunday at a 7-Eleven store was captured on surveillance video, and police said public tips helped lead them to the suspects.

The video showed one man hitting the clerk on the head with a hammer. The second then threw coffee in the clerk's face and hit the clerk with the cash drawer before fleeing with the money.

The brothers were arrested Wednesday. No telephone listings could be found for either, and it could not immediately be determined if they have attorneys.
