Ruth Donath

[May 13, 2009]  Ruth H. Donath, 87, of Storm Lake, Iowa, formerly of Lincoln, died Sunday, May 10, 2009, at 8:40 p.m. at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln. A rosary service at 4:45 p.m. will precede the visitation.

A Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Donath will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church, with the Rev. John Huy Pham officiating.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

She was born Jan. 24, 1922, in Lincoln to George H. and Alice Irene Jones. She married Benjamin C. Donath on July 6, 1942, in Lincoln. He preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 2001.

She is survived by her children, Karen Donath of Normal, Michael (and Martha) Donath of Lincoln and Benjamin (and Tina) Donath of Storm Lake, Iowa; and one granddaughter, Alexis Donath of St. Paul, Minn.

Mrs. Donath was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

She graduated from Lincoln High School.
