Red Lions even record

[November 25, 2009]  The Red Lions men's basketball team of Lincoln Christian University evened their season record at 2-2 with a 103-78 victory over the Saints of Central Christian College of the Bible of Moberly, Mo., on Tuesday evening.

Lincoln led 56-48 at the half.

LCU was led in scoring by Jon Wallace with 30 points and 17 rebounds. Landon Callahan had 13 points, three rebounds; Josiah Brock had 12 points and six rebounds; and Troy Lane added 10 points and two rebounds. Seven other players added to the final score.

The Red Lions shot 46.9 percent from the field, making 39 of 83 attempts, and 65.3 percent from the charity stripe with 17 of 26.

Lincoln coach Matt Clark said, "I was pleased with the overall effort put forth and especially the way the Red Lions turned up the defensive pressure in the second half."

Bryce Ramay and Reggie Evans accounted for 64 of the Saints' points by scoring 34 and 30, respectively.

The Red Lions will next be in action at the Regional Tip-off tournament in Dunbar, Wis., Dec. 3-5.
