Busy October with 4-H

[October 02, 2009]  Logan County 4-H has several youth program offerings available during the month of October. All programs are at the Logan County Extension office, 980 N. Postville Drive in Lincoln, and require advance payment of registration fees. The following programs are available for ages 8-18:

Hardware4-H Find Out Party
Saturday, Oct. 10 -- 10 a.m.-noon
Ages 8-12 along with their parents are invited to attend this program, which is designed to inform youth and adults about 4-H. There is no charge for the program; however, reservations are needed by Oct. 9. Call 732-8289 to make a reservation, or register for this program online at www.extension.uiuc.edu/logan. Jewelry Holder Workshop
Monday, Oct. 19 -- 6-7 p.m.
Participants will make a holder where they can keep bracelets and necklaces. Cost for the program is $4 for 4-H members and $6 for the general public. Registration deadline: Oct. 13.

Fall Fun Fling
Saturday, Oct. 24 -- 10 a.m.-noon
Participants will make fall-themed art projects, take part in fall activities and make a fall snack. Cost for program is $5 for 4-H members and $7 for the general public. Registration deadline: Oct. 19.

Gross Grub Workshop
Wednesday, Oct. 28 -- 6-7 p.m.
Participants will make a "meal" that will consist of several "gross" (yet tasty) recipes, so be sure to come hungry. Cost for program is $5 for 4-H members and $7 for the general public. Registration deadline: Oct. 23.
