Rickey P. "Gumbo" Garrett, 57, of
Lincoln, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at 9:49 p.m. at Memorial
Medical Center in Springfield.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. |
His graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at
St. Mary's Cemetery, with the Rev. Kevin Treptow
officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's
Cemetery.
Mr. Garrett was owner and operator of the
Alley-Bi Saloon in Lincoln.
He was born Jan. 1, 1952, in Decatur to Paul J.
and Kathleen Seely Garrett.
He is survived by his mother, of Lincoln; his
companion, Cindy McCullough Singleton and her
children and grandchildren: Staci (and George)
Lacefield and their children, Morgan and Garrett,
and Scott (and Jenny) Singleton and their daughter,
Ella; one brother, Roger (and Jan) Garrett of
Bloomington; two sisters, Gloria (and Gerald)
Goodman of Mount Pulaski and Peggy Garrett of
Lincoln; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and one
brother, David "Crub" Garrett. |
Memorials may be made to the DaVita Kidney Dialysis
Center in Lincoln.
