Police: Man steals SUV, then tries to return it
[September 11, 2009] WEST OLIVE, Mich. (AP) -- Police said a west Michigan man stole an SUV, then was arrested after he returned it later in the night.

The 2006 Ford Explorer was taken from a home in West Olive, about 25 miles west of Grand Rapids, around 11 p.m. Tuesday. Ottawa County Sheriff's deputies staked out the house, and around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday the vehicle was driven back to the area and was hidden off the road. Police said a 32-year-old West Olive man was taken into custody. His name wasn't immediately released. |
