Barbara Ann Campbell, 79, of Lincoln,
died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at 4:27 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln
Memorial Hospital.
Her graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday,
Sept. 14, at Old Union Cemetery with Father Shaw
officiating. Family and friends are invited to
attend. |
Mrs. Campbell had been employed by Sears
until the store closed and was a homemaker.
She was born July 27, 1930, in Lincoln, to
Desmond Francis and Mary Margarite Bowns Weindorf.
She married Robert Campbell on Sept. 6, 1948, in
Lincoln. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2009.
She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia (and
David) Newman of Lincoln and Gayle (and Russ)
Wallace of Mahomet; one son, Greg (and Brenda) Campbell of
Maricopa, Ariz.; one sister, Sue Weindorf-Gray (and
Dale) of Lincoln; one brother, Donald Weindorf of
Caldwell, Kan.; three grandchildren, Samantha
Wilson, Jacob Wallace and Madison Wallace; and
various nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and
one brother. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. |
In her youth, she won many awards for dance and
baton.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease
Association.
