            		EMDEN -- Marietta Paulsen, 73, of Emden, 
			died Monday, Sept. 7, 2009, at 2:04 a.m. at Peninsula Regional 
			Medical Center in Salisbury, Md. Her death was the result of 
			injuries suffered in a fall that occurred while vacationing with her 
			son in Delaware. 
					
							Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, at 
							Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her 
							funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, at 
							St. John's Lutheran Church in Hartsburg.  |

							 Burial 
							will be in Hartsburg Union Cemetery, Hartsburg. A 
							luncheon at the church will follow the interment. 
							Mrs. Paulsen was retired from Hartsburg-Emden 
							School District. She and her husband also farmed and 
							raised livestock for many years in Prairie Creek 
							Township of Logan County.  
							She was born Aug. 19, 1936, at Hartsburg to 
							George and Henrietta Wibben. She married Kenneth 
							William Paulsen in 1956 in Palmyra, Mo. He preceded 
							her in death on Jan. 18, 1997. 
							She is survived by one son, Roger (and Lena) 
							Paulsen of Vienna, Va.; one daughter, Brenda (and 
							Rob) Copeland of Fairhope, Ala.; one sister, Doris 
							(and Bill) Hanna of Emden; three grandchildren, Ryan 
							Rippon and Sara Copeland of Fairhope, Ala., and Abby 
							(and Brian) Ingram of Lincoln; four sisters-in-law, 
							Grace Wibben of Atlanta, Jean Farmer of Lincoln, and 
							Patricia Buckles and Darla (and Al) Cheatham of Port 
							Charlotte, Fla.; and two brothers-in-law, Robert 
							(and Diane) Farmer of Lincoln and Larry (and Carol) 
							Farmer of Middletown.  
							She was also preceded in death by her parents and 
							two brothers, William Wibben and John Wibben.   | 
							
							 
                    
					  
							Marietta was a longtime member of the Logan County 
							Schools Cooks Association and the Farm Bureau. She 
							was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in 
							Hartsburg. 
							She was proud of her and her family's 
							participation in Logan County 4-H, often showing 
							livestock and other items at the Logan County Fair 
							and participating in numerous other events.  
							Memorials may be made to the Hartsburg-Emden High 
							School FFA chapter, the Emden Fire and Rescue 
							Department, or St. John's Lutheran Church of 
							Hartsburg.
