LINCOLN -- Robert W. Bismark, 92, of
Lincoln, died Thursday, April 15, 2010, at 6:50 a.m. at The
Christian Village.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. All master
Masons are invited to attend a Masonic service at 1:30 p.m. His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St.
John United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Richard
Reinwald and Ryan Edgecombe officiating. |
Burial will be in New Union Cemetery.
Mr. Bismark was a retired insurance agent. He had
owned and operated Bismark Insurance Agency in
Lincoln for 40 years.
He was born Jan. 29, 1918, in Geneseo. His
parents were William A. and Helen Hamilton Bismark.
He married Violet Vance on April 13, 1941, in
Marengo, Iowa. At the time of his death, they had
just celebrated 69 years of marriage.
He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; three
sons, Wayne (and Maureen) Bismark of Maryville,
Tenn., Dean (and Pam) Bismark of Hennepin and Larry
Bismark of Jonesborough, Tenn.; five grandchildren,
Joshua Bismark, Andrea (and Craig) Armstrong,
Jeffrey Bismark, Andrew Bismark and Bryan Bismark;
and five great-grandchildren. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ,
Elks Lodge 914, Sherman Lodge 553 of Orion, Order of
Eastern Star Chapter 218 and Eagles Lodge 2708 of
Lincoln. |
Memorials may be made to St. John United Church
of Christ or Christian Village.
