4-H Dog Show -- Album 1
![Click on photos below to enlarge.]

The judge of this year's 4-H Dog Show was Shelly Prehoda from Heyworth. As she judged the dogs, she took plenty of time to talk to each of the kids and give them pointers for future training and showing of their animals.

Abigail Fitzpatrick and her dog start the show. The first exercise involves walking, halting, turns and runs, along with sits.

Abigail's dog is not fond of sitting still. Here Shelly Prehoda gives the big boy a gentle tap on the nose, telling him to stay.

Kamryn Aylesworth stands ready to take the first of her two dogs through its paces.

A nice, steady pace around the arena.

Zac Gill trots his dog through the figure-eight portion of the competition...

...then finishes with a very nice sit.

The three-minute sit and stay is one of the most intense portions of the competition.

No one moves, speaks or even dares to breathe, as everyone waits to see if the dogs can stay in one place for that long.
