[August 10, 2010]
Lincoln Mayor Keith
Snyder and 5th Ward Alderman Jeff Hoinacki, the city council's
coordinator for the Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival, have announced
that the city of Lincoln will once again be conducting a giveaway in
conjunction with the annual festival.
|
As a prime sponsor of the festival, the city of
Lincoln receives several benefits and complimentary items. As it did
last year, the city will share those benefits with the citizens and
taxpayers of Lincoln -- those who underwrite the cost of city's
sponsorship and every other activity of city government. In
conjunction with Wally Balloons LLC, the city is pleased to offer
new prize packages this year just for the kids. These special prize
packages include an official Wally clownfish balloon hat, other
special Wally memorabilia, two admission wristbands to the Logan
County Airport for the weekend, an art and balloon fest collector
pin and a festival T-shirt. Kids can learn more about Wally by
checking out
www.wallyballoons.com.
Local citizens can register for the giveaway at City Hall, the
Lincoln Public Library and the Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of
Commerce office. Everyone may enter as often as they like, but only
one prize can be awarded per household.
Winners must be residents of Lincoln and must be at least 18
years old to accept the balloon ride, at least 21 years old to
accept Art of Wine passes and no more than 12 years old to accept
the kids ' prizes. The contest is not open
