Tuesday evening
a downtown streetscape planning open house was held in
Lincoln City Hall. Public input was sought for a downtown
streetscape and
facade improvement plan. Two grant programs are currently
available that
might provide funding for projects.

A
U.S.-built NORAD F-22 fighter jet flies off the wing of a civilian airplane
playing the role of a hijacked airliner over a mountainous area of Alaska on
Tuesday at the end of a route from an undisclosed location in
the Far East to Alaska. The flight was the second leg of an first-of-its-kind
joint exercise between the U.S. and Russia to test their coordinated response to
a potential international hijacking.
