[August 10, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Jurors went home Monday after their ninth day of deliberations at the corruption trial of former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

There's still no word about whether jurors might be any closer to reaching a verdict.

Observers can often glean something about jury deliberations via notes they send to a judge. But it's been more than a week since Blagojevich jurors sent Judge James Zagel a note.

Some defense attorneys have spent their time in a courthouse cafeteria awaiting word of a verdict. Several say they're not sleeping well and can't focus on other work.

Blagojevich faces 24 counts, including charges of trying to sell or trade an appointment to President Barack Obama's vacated Senate seat.

His co-defendant brother, Robert Blagojevich, faces four counts.

Both have pleaded not guilty.
