Grains prices fall, livestock futures rise

[August 21, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures mostly fell Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery slipped 2.25 cents to $7.12 a bushel, while December corn gained 7 cents to $4.3625 a bushel and December oats dropped 2 cents to $2.85 a bushel. November soybeans slid 8.25 cents to $10.04 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures mostly rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle added 0.03 cent to 99.20 cents a pound; October feeder cattle gained 1 cent to $1.1757 a pound; October lean hogs dropped 0.50 cent to 77.35 cents a pound; and February pork bellies rose 2.5 cents to $1.0450 a pound.
