[December 13, 2010]  DESTIN, Fla. (AP) -- A Florida man treated his lost wallet like a lost dog, putting up fliers, creating a website and even studying surveillance footage to figure out what happened to his $2,000 in cash.

Sure enough, John Teeter's efforts paid off.

A girl who had taken the wallet from a Subway counter in Destin got in touch with Teeter on Friday, two days after she took the billfold he had left behind. She returned the money and apologized.

Teeter is an out-of-work handyman. He was carrying the money on him because he was shopping for a utility trailer. He doesn't plan to press charges against the girl.
