Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at
Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta, with Maurice
Stribling officiating. Visitation will be at the
funeral home on Monday evening from 5 to 7 and one
hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
Burial will be in Atlanta Cemetery.
Mrs. Gresham was a seasonal worker for Mountjoy
Hybrids, Palms Grill, Atlanta Cleaners and retired
from Dixie Truckers Home as a head cook after 20
years of service.
She was born Feb. 1, 1931, in Waynesville. Her
parents were Harold and Rose Cox Harvey. She married
William Thomas Gresham on Dec. 14, 1947. He preceded
her in death on Sept. 17, 2008.
She is survived by her son, Gary (and Delores)
Gresham of Atlanta; one sister, Liz Riddle of
Hillsboro; a son-in-law, Billie Timm of Hartsburg;
five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; six
great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren;
and one great-great-grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter,
Patricia L. Timm; one sister, Grace Slimp; and one
brother, Harold Harvey Jr.
Memorials may be made to Atlanta Christian Church
or Atlanta Rescue Squad.
