All of these designated donations will support Salvation Army relief
and recovery efforts as the organization continues to work in
several areas of Haiti, both in Port-au-Prince and in outlying
hard-hit areas. Disaster funding received is always kept separate
from ongoing Logan County program funding. Special thanks goes to
Lincoln IGA for allowing The Salvation Army to place a special
kettle Wednesday for Haiti relief and recovery. Thanks also to Karen
and Jerry Birdwell for staffing the special collection.
Many others have already given to the relief work by phone,
online and by texting. With donor support, The Salvation Army will
continue to provide earthquake survivors with food and non-food
necessities, medical care, and assistance in the Haiti recovery
efforts for months and years to come.
