Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[February 25, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

HardwareWheat for March delivery jumped 8.5 cents to $5.0025 a bushel, while March corn climbed 7.5 cents to $3.7525 a bushel and soybeans for March delivery edged up 3 cents to $9.555 a bushel. March oats lost 4.5 cents to $2.22 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures traded mostly lower and pork futures advanced on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle fell 0.5 cent to 91.92 cents a pound; March feeder cattle were unchanged at $1.0115 cents a pound; April lean hogs gained 0.9 cent to 70.35 cents a pound; and March pork bellies added 0.7 cent to 84.7 cents a pound.
