Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Military
rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 263.
Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln is in charge of
arrangements.
Mr. Reichle retired after owning Reichle LP Gas
Co. for 32 years and 24 years in the jewelry
business with The Little Indian Shop.
He served in the U.S. Air Force in the European
Theater as a top turret gunner on B-24 bombers
during World War II.
He was born Nov. 28, 1924, in Lincoln, the son of
Ralph and Ethel Voyles Reichle. He married M.
Cozette Rothwell on June 20, 1959, at St. Patrick's
Catholic Church in Lincoln.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter Linda
(and Steve) Wurth of Lincoln; three grandchildren,
Craig, Chad and Clint Wurth; two
great-grandchildren, Lezli and Linzie Wurth of
Norman, Okla.; one sister, Mary Awe Brisco of
Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church
and a life member of Knights of Columbus Council
1250. He was also a member of American Legion Post
263, Elks Lodge 914 and Moose Lodge in Lincoln, and
a former member of the Illinois LP Gas Association.
He graduated from the Hartsburg High School in
1943 and later from Lincoln College.
He loved his popcorn and enjoyed fishing, movies and
going to the Paradise Casino. He loved his family
and friends. |
