INCIDENT: 2 vehicle fatal crash

(approximately 3 miles south of Lincoln)

NARRATIVE:
Unit one was north bound on Illinois Route 121 in a 1995 Buick
Century. Unit two was south bound in a 1999 Pontiac. For reasons
unknown the driver of unit one crossed the center line into the
south bound lane and the front of unit one struck the front of unit
two. The driver of unit one was transported to Abraham Lincoln
Hospital in Lincoln where she was pronounced dead. The driver of
unit two was taken to Memorial Hospital in Springfield with non
life- threatening injuries. Both vehicles received major damage. The
name of the deceased will be released by the Logan County coroner.
